Conditions That Benefit From Laser Therapy

Laser therapy has a wide range of applications. It can be used for:

  • Arthritis
  • Infections
  • Muscle pain
  • Ligament injuries
  • Back pain
  • Skin injuries
  • Post-surgical pain management and healing
  • Lick granulomas
  • Gingivitis
  • …and more

How Laser Therapy Works

During treatment, low-level infrared light energy is absorbed into your pet’s tissues where it can penetrate deep into the muscles and connective tissue. This increases cell activity and regeneration, in addition to other important functions that accelerate healing and boost your pet’s overall energy. There are few if any side effects associated with laser therapy for dogs or cats and most important, it’s painless, non-invasive, and requires no sedation.

What to Expect

Laser therapy treatment sessions can range from five minutes to 30 minutes, depending on what’s being treated. Pets with chronic conditions such as arthritis often need multiple sessions to see improvement, while acute issues, like a recent injury or surgical procedure, can be treated in just one session.
