Hi, I’m Megan, a Certified Veterinary Technician. I have been in the veterinary field for over 20 years and started my journey cleaning kennels. I have always had a love of animals, but didn’t have any growing up. To get my animal fix, I started volunteering at a local therapeutic horse riding facility and spent many wonderful years caring for a barn of 30+ horses. After working at a vet clinic for several years I decided this was my true calling and wanted to get certified as a technician. I went to a technician school in northern IL (where I’m from) and graduated with an associates in Applied Animal Science and passed my technician boards to be certified. I spent many more years working at my clinic and teaching as an instructor at the tech college. After moving states several times, my husband and I came back to the Milwaukee area to be with family. We enjoy our “adventure walks” and hikes with our dogs and 2 young daughters. We are always on the move and busy with the kids, and try to involve the dogs as much as possible (the cat too if it was her choice)! We have 2 standard poodles (Draco Malfoy and Luke Skywalker), and a very vocal and adventurous cat named Meowie. Oh, and several fish.
